Ø  Reduced the amount of queue time to the manufacturing process by organizing workflow of incoming jobs (small parts).

Ø  Reduced queue time by organizing the plant layout so large parts were easily identified and brought quickly into the workflow.

Ø  Established statistical process control while maintaining three shift inspection operations.

Ø  Established a scheduling worksheet to communicate in-process work to upper management.

An ISO 9001:2000 certified contract manufacturer with capabilities in precision CNC machining, close tolerance assembly, hydraulic & electro-mechanical assembly, fabrication and welding.

Shop Manager (2005)

Managed a machine shop of up to 20 people covering two shifts in the machining of precision parts for the robot industry.

·         Brought the machining operation into 100% compliance with customers’ schedules by organizing the operations that reduced the queue time of materials through the shop.

 

THALER MACHINE COMPANY, Dayton, OH

Shop Supervisor (2003 – 2004)

Managed a machine shop of up to 40 people covering three shifts in the machining of many different types of products from short production runs to highly precision parts. This modern production facility offered precision machining with every type of High Speed CNC Equipment as well as Dial Machines; Form Grinders; and Dedicated Production Machines.

·         Reduced queue time, thus making the operation more profitable, by organizing the work flow of material.

 

DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY MOUND FACILITY, Miamisburg, OH

Several contractors were tasked with managing and cleaning up this government facility, including Monsanto Research Corporation, EG&G Mound Applied Technologies and UNISYS Corporation.

Manager, User Service/Help Desk and Networking Group (1997 – 2003)

Managed up to 15 employees including network engineers responsible for plant wide network infrastructure and analysts responsible for plant wide PC computer workstations.

·         Achieved 95% customer satisfaction by working with department managers to ensure their needs where met and taking a proactive approach in our service level agreements.

·         Created and maintained Intranet Web pages to allow for better communications for every department.

·         Completed the plant wide Y2K a month ahead of projected schedule. Served as the Project Manager.

 

Team Leader, Computer User Service Group/Help Desk (1996 – 1997)

Managed help desk and plant wide PC computer workstations with responsibility for 5 system analysts.
